Sarasota has a distinct vibe that is extremely different from many of  Florida’s coastal cities.  Sarasota has its own art scene, laid-back beach atmosphere, and endless restaurants and bars. Sarasota is about an hour south of Tampa, on Florida’s Gulf Coast, and is known to many for its miles of white-sand beaches. This metro area of just over 800,000 people has a renowned opera house, a plethora of rooftop bars, and don’t forget about the popular beach of Siesta Key.

Yes, the Sarasota area is known for its white gorgeous beaches, arts and culture, and fabulous restaurants.  Check out a show at performing arts venues.  There is the  Opera,  Asolo Rep Theatre, Florida Studio Theatre, the  Ballet, and more. There is also tons of artwork in the local galleries in the downtown area. But many don’t realize the area also offers unique nightspots and watering holes.  Don’t forget this is also the winter home for the Ringling Bros Circus!

Fabulous warm temperatures year-round, miles of white sand beaches, and its wonderful entertainment options make this area a wonderful place to live!   People who live here compare it to living in paradise.

There is a great job market here, especially for those people working in tourism, small businesses, and healthcare, and for that reason, the population here continues to grow. Travel is VERY easy here, as Sarasota has its own international airport, and is only about an hour away from Tampa International Airport, as well as Ft. Myers airport.
